threatening skies

Learn to Dance!

we went through a small town who were having a 'Queen's Day'

This is the only crowded village we ever saw in France

Too many people to cycle!

Susie:
an interesting cycle through Valencienne.
The marked track got smaller and smaller then took us onto a deserted road with burnt out cars and graffiti.

GIANT HOLE IN OUR PATHWAY!

Town centre not much better- everything shut except a greasy cafe where we got a dry 1/2 chicken and chips, but it was much appreciated.

diminishing cycle path

Went through long cycle paths lines with trees. Found an empty but large town and luckily a restaurant open in the centre and had half a chicken each.

HOW NOT TO PUT UP A TENT

this is where people live

Campsite in the forest is very quiet and a bit full of junk. I think people live here. No-one uses the toilets and they are very creepy.

the church bells rang every hour all night

camp cooking

The only restaurant is shut. Tuna for dinner :( Poor James.

Emergency tuna again
