Day 12. Suzy and Ducks

Wednesday 11th August
36 Miles

Susie:
Woke up with the rain still going. Luckily inside the tent was dry, so we got that packed dry.

Breakfast tea

We had to pack the tent wet, but the inside stayed dry

Rain

We had an awful start on an A road with lorries in the rain, but only for a mile, and the weather got nicer as the day went on. Passed the village of Suzy!

Suzy! It was up a huge hill so we didn't go any closer.

a very rural day

War graves

This was not the right way

There was a killer hill halfway over a pass that the railway went under.

Killer hill

A traditional farm, looked like a museum but didn't seem to be open to the public

Our campsite is unexpectedly 4*, full of English people, and has a pool. It is the first time we have spoken English to anyone since we crossed the border.

English families on holiday near Eurodisney

We have a lovely spot for the tent by a stream with ducks, and no more rain.
